what to expect
What does a Sunday Morning look like at Middle Valley?
We view the Sunday morning gatherings as the highlight of the week, for it is there that the church gathers to corporately worship and fellowship with one another. These Sunday morning services are characterized by the worship of God through prayer, song, Scripture reading and the preaching of God’s Word. In addition, on the first Sunday of the month we set aside a special time in our services to remember what Christ has done for us by celebrating the Lord’s Supper.
What to Wear?
At Middle Valley we believe that it’s the heart that matters, not what you wear. Therefore, when you come you will find those who like to dress up and those who like to dress casual. There is no need to fear being judged by what you wear. Feel free to come in what’s comfortable for you, and you’ll fit right in.
Do You Have a Children’s Ministry?
Yes! On Sunday mornings children ages 3 to 3rd grade leave during the Worship for a special time to learn biblical concepts on their level. We have interactive, fun, and theologically rich lessons that will encourage and equip children with biblical truths. At Middle Valley we believe strongly in equipping and encouraging families to study and share the Word of God together.
Do You Have a Nursery?
Yes! We offer a nursery for children 2 and under during Sunday School and Morning Worship. The nursery is located in the Ministry Center, and very close to the Worship Service. The nursery is staffed with wonderful, loving volunteers.
Safety and security is very important to us at Middle Valley. All children are checked in to the nursery with identity labels, and parents are given a paging system.
What Style of Music Do You Sing?
Our music is focused on truths of the Gospel rather than any particular style. We sing songs from a wide range of styles . . . from classic hymns to contemporary worship songs. We sing songs from newer artists like Chris Tomlin and Bob Kauflin, to the older hymn writers like Isaac Watts and John Newton. To sum it up, the songs we sing are selected for the purpose of drawing the attention away from ourselves and to the One who created us.
